Saving Mozambique

Pollution in Mozambique is reaching a critical level and their government has not been able to produce funds for cholera's eradication. This year-round problem is an effect of wars and poverty. Since Mozambique's independence from Portugal in 1975, it has been a multi-party republic with socialistic qualities striving for a democracy("Mozambique"). Their lack of leadership has lead to their spiraling economy and 21%
(Flag^Newspaper Country: Mozambique) unemployment rate("Mozambique"). The people of
Mozambique live in horrendous conditions that don't have proper water sources. This is what has started cholera.
The Mozambique Channel, a primary water source for many Mozambicans, is undergoing no reforms to rid it of pollutants, and for many people plumbing is not a reality. So the channel and other rivers, become their personal toilet. Cholera is the deadly result. I propose for the Mozambican government to provide water filtration systems funded by private donors and sponsored by a willing celebrity. This method will cost their government nothing, so it is an inexpensive alternative to toxic water. Having these plants will also keep healthcare costs from rising without losing innocent lives in the process. Water filtration plants will surely annihilate cholera and reform Mozambique's government and economic issues, thus "Saving Mozambique".

This is an example of Mozambique's beautiful coast.
